GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES

The Binda Foundation welcomes proposals from non-profit organizations that promote learning throughout the lifespan and encourage people to improve the quality of life in Battle Creek, Calhoun County.  Please review the Binda Theory of Change to learn more about Binda’s funding priorities.

We do not contribute to short-term personal opportunities such as trips, conferences or summer camps. We do not make grants to individuals, and requests to support capital campaigns or endowments are considered on a very limited basis.

OUR GRANT PROCESS

We have implemented an on-line two-step application process.

First, a Letter of Inquiry, and second, the Grant Application.

These two steps are separate.

The deadlines for application submission are April 1 and November 1 of each year.

Should you have any questions concerning the on-line Letter of Inquiry, or the on-line Grant Application,

please feel free to contact us.

Step 1 - Letter of Inquiry

Letters of Inquiry can be submitted on-line at any time, up to 3 weeks prior to the application submission deadlines of April 1 and November 1 of each year.

If your request supports the giving areas of the Binda Foundation, you will receive an email with instructions to proceed to the formal application.  Create an account or sign in to the Online Grant Application.

Step 2 - Grant Applications

Grant applications are due on or before April 1 and November 1 of each year.  You will be notified electronically when your application has been received.

A grant review committee will review grants in May and December.  Final decisions are then made by the full Board of Trustees in June and January.
